You will be sorely missed Kevin, your talent and charisma the world only got a small glimpse of what was to come. You will always be remembered, never forgotton...the world will go on somehow without you, without the god of war...may the Elysian fields open up to greet you....the world misses you....

Kevin, you were truly loved. The humor and wit that you brought to your character, Ares, was wonderfully entertaining! It is a great tragedy to lose such a wonderful actor. His family will be in our prayers.

My family and friends here, in So. Florida, would like to send our condolences to Mr. Smith's family and friends here and abroad. I heard of the tragedy while celebrating my 1 yr. anniversay at MGM Studios in Orlando. Ironically, my partner had just purchased a registerd and framed autographed picture of Lucy Lawless as Xena. I called my Mom cause I was thrilled and she informed me of Mr. Smith's death. She loved him as well as my friends, Lori and Kathy. As my Mom put it..." many women will miss him." He deftly played Ares the God we loved to hate. Truly great acting since he was quite the opposite in real life. At least he knew he was scheduled to make a movie with Bruce Willis. He hit his stride and will be remembered for it. And to all of us Xena fans...we can catch him in re-runs and be entertained by what he offered us...his talent.

Kevin Smith was able to win my heart with his portrayal of Ares the God of war in Xena Warrior Princess. For six years, through that tv screen he became something tangible for me, he became part of my life, his characters became that special something many of us carry secretly in our hearts.

Not only did I love his characters, I admired him very much and felt very proud of his talent as an actor, but most of all I loved his charismatic manner and the optimistic outlook he had in life. He was so boyish and mischivious, so open and wise, so modest and beautiful that you couldn't help but love him.

My sadness cannot be measured, and I can only imagine the profound sorrow his family must be feeling. To his wife and children my sincere condolences. I hope they find a tiny bit of solace in the fact that Kevin Smith is loved by many, that indeed he is truly immortal, for in our hearts he will live forever.

I am very deeply saddened to hear of Kevin's death:( I loved that guy and I will forever hold him in my heart as one of the best actors and nicest guys in the world. I have much sympathy for Kevin's wife and three children. I was so shocked when I heard that he had died. I had wished it wasn't true, but then I saw it in Black and white on the NZ herald website. I think a fund for his family is a great idea. How can we contribute? I would like to give some money to his family. I had a very long cry once I got the news of his death as quoted by someone from the NZ Herald "a nicer man, u wouldn't find anywhere" I wish I could've had the privilege to meet him but unlucky for me, I never got to be blessed by his presence. My deepest sympathy goes out to his family and friends. I miss you already Kevin:( I hope that his family gets all the funds they can because I know they need them. Heaven has a new angel and that is Kevin Smith. We love you kevin and we will never forget you.
