S. B.

Kevin, your a real hero, bringing the joy of entertainment to so many, bringing happiness to so many hearts, there must be a special place in heaven for such a beautiful person.

You will be missed deeply.

I hope that his family and friends may find some small comfort that so many are thinking about them and so many prayers are being sent their way.

Kevin Smith will be missed and always remembered by Xena fans. I still can't believe this has happened. He took a piece of our hearts with him. He was a pure delight as The God of War and no one could ever replace him. Good guys do wear black. Deepest condolences and prayers to his family.

Richard K [torbaykiwi & Toa Pirinihehe]

Met Kevin Smith exactly a year ago at the Armageddon Expo in Auckland, February 2001.

It was a thrill to see him on the stage answering questions and he was so open and honest about everything.

I asked him about the scene of OAHAF - the bedroom scene - and he fondly retells it to us at how many takes it took and Renee giggling in his armpit.

I remember after the questions we all could go up with him to the top floor of Aotea Centre where the autographs were to be done.

I met with another Xenite at one of the elevators and and with four of us in the elevator I stood right next to him in the elevator... no trace of Ares here, just a normal bloke that could blend in anywhere.

Fond memories pop up with shaking hands with the man. Having bought only two autographed pictures makes me think I could have bought more...

Dean O'Gorman was sitting next to Kevin... keep an eye out for Dean, he likes gadgets and camera's - so Kevin said.

Me and the other Xenite lingered for a bit before moving off excitedly.

'I met Kevin Smith.' She said repeatedly.

'We both did, he's a good bloke.'

My condolences to the family of Kevin Smith.

Kevin put alot into his acting, and from what I have read over the Internet, he was also a devoted family man, musician, sports enthusiast and down-to-earth real person. With so many well written tributes to him, I would like to give my best wishes to his family. I trust they understand the interest of his fans as genuine concern for an actor they greatlly enjoyed. That really should be seen and felt as a great compliment. We enjoyed his shared acting talent as much as he enjoyed performing for us. He really made a stong connection with his audience to recieve so many tributes. I would imagine there could be no greater satisfaction for an actor than knowing you have the attention and respects of so many fans. My thoughts go to his family. The passing of a family member can be a true test of character. From experience I would humbly suggest nothing of major importance be decided upon for a few months, to give thoughts and emotions their due course. Each day seems eternal at first, I know, but the bonding and love shared each day by those still gathered can make for mixed blessings. Best wishes to the family.

I just heard today, Feb 18th and I am in shock! He was one of my favorite Xena Characters, it was always a treat when he was on there.

Wishing his family and friends and everyone out -there my condolences. It will be a sad day watching reruns of Xena w/ him and knowing he's gone.

Kevin was a truly great actor, what a loss. I hope his family will take comfort in knowing that he will be remembered by millions of people all over the world for a very long time.

I never had the privilege of meeting Kevin in person, however everything that I have ever read about him leads me to beleive that he was a hell of a nice guy. We will miss him greatly, I guess in the real world even the God of War is mortal.

T & W

I was very saddened by the sudden death of such a fine outstanding & talented actor whose life was cut short. To his family, wife and children, an angel will be watching over your lifes forever...Fly Free Forever Kevin...
