Mike West in Alaska My Personal Cell

I am saddened to hear of the loss of Kevin Smith (Ares). I just heard the news this morning Feb 16th. He was one of my favorite characters in the show. I would watch Xena W.P. all the time. It was on everyday here in Alaska- 7 days a week, sometimes twice a day. He brought charm, humor & personality. He possessed a singular wit amongst the cast. I've heard of how is down to earth to his fans, a great father and loving husband which is very important to me. We will all miss him. I urge everyone to pray for his entire family during what must be one of the most difficult time in their lives.

My deepest sypathy to Kevin's wife & family,
A part of you has gone, but never forgotten your soul will live on through your children and their love for you, such a waste of talent, you were one spunky dude and I bet you broke many a lady's heart. Rest In Peace Ka ora.

I just read the news of Kevin Smith's tragic & untimely death. I'm still in a state of disbelief. My thoughts & prayers go not only to Kevin's family but also Lucy Lawless, Renee O'Connor-Muir and everyone else that has ever worked with him. He will be sorely missed.

Words will never say enough. A young life has been taken and many people left behind trying to understand why. God has chosen you and made you an angel. Be at peace Kevin. Deapest sympathies to the Smith family.

Now that the shock has worn off and the terrible news has sunk in, what remains is the sadness .... sadness that a wonderfully talented actor and, by all accounts, a wonderful human being was taken from us in the prime of his life.
In some ways, Ares was always my favorite character on the show, and Kevin Smith played him to perfection, giving him a depth and a complexity often far beyond what was indicated in the script.
Kevin may be gone from this earth (it's still hard to even type out the words...), but on our tapes, in our fan fiction, and in our hearts, Ares is forever immortal.

Kevin Smith was a wonderful actor, and a wonderful person. Even though he has passed away, the legacy he has left will live forever in the hearts of those who loved him.

Sorry never watched Xena or any of those but loved Kevin in his other roles. Oh how I feel for those three poor children who have had their father taken away too early from them. As for his wife (his childhood sweetheart)your heart must be crushed. These beautiful children will help to give you strength and part of Kevin will live on in them.
NZ is changing....we are losing to many of our hero's!
As the old saying goes....."ONLY THE GOOD DIE YOUNG"

I dont really know what to say, except that I want to honor Kevin Smith in some way.
I feel so sad for his wife and children who now have to live without this wonderful man. I never had the pleasure of meeting him , but nonetheless he has made an impact in my home. My children loved his character Ares and so did I.
He will not be forgotten.
Love from Julie

Kevin Smith was a great actor and a great person. It is shocking to me that he is gone and the pain that I feel will be real for a long time. I did not know him personally, but because of his roll as Ares, he touched me in every way possible.
I will never forget the wonderful character that he played and the wonderful person that he was. He will alawys be in my heart and he will never be forgotten.
He will live on forever as the wonderful character Ares that brought me to love him as a truly great actor. In that way, he'll never really die as long as he lives on in our hearts and our thoughts.
I know that his family and friends are grieving him and all of his loyal fans are too but if we keep his memory alive, that is the greatest thing that we can give him. Like Cicero said "the life of the dead is placed in the memory of the living" and I think that says it all.
